CMECI Certification: Certified Missing & Exploited Child Investigator
This certification provides the professional investigator with the first ever specialized child trafficking investigator designation.
Benefits include the ability to become part of the SRT (Special Response Team) which participates in the rescue/ recovery of missing
and exploited children.

Requirements:

  • Be an Active Member Level in good standing with NAMEC

  • Successfully pass the CMECI exam.

  • No felony convictions.

Price:

  • $25 test fee to be paid after the application is submitted and approved

  • $25 renewal – after one year $25 in addition to proof of continuing education in Missing and Exploited Children. Additional avenues:  publish a book or article, attend a NAMEC conference, completion of a course of study at a credited institution for missing and exploited children or credited professional police or investigation.



SRT Certification: Special Response Team. The SRT is comprised of the NAMEC members across the country who are called upon to voluntarily
assist in child recoveries.
Benefits include the ability to be part of the recovery of missing & exploited children with top professionals in policing, special
operations, and investigations.


Requirements

  • Obtain and maintain the designation CMECI (Certified Missing & Exploited Child Investigator).

  • Be a member in good standing with NAMEC.

  • Maintain a current insurance policy.

  • Yearly renewal – provide a copy of insurance binder every year.

There is no additional fee for this designation.
